Reservation / Cancellation Policy

Registration is closed once we have reached capacity or eight weeks prior to event, whichever comes first.

There will be a $25 service fee for each registration change prior to the close of registration. Upon the close of event registration, all reservations are final. No changes, additions or updates will be accepted.

Troop Mackinaw remains affordable due to pre-purchase of tickets and reservations, for this reason refunds are not made at any time for any reason.

Policy Notices

By completing this form you agree to follow the Troop Mackinaw policies including but not limited to the following:

Registration is first come, first served. Space is limited & events fill quickly. Registration must be completed online. Full payment by credit card required to register.

Only the responsible adult listed may check into the room and pick up the event package. Valid ID required. This person must be staying in the room they are picking up the package for.

Each event package will include all instructions, badges, maps, tickets & coupons for everyone in each room, not troop.

Upon the close of event registration, all reservations are final. No changes, additions or updates will be accepted.

Who can attend?

Troop Mackinaw is a great experience for the whole troop or just mom & her scout. Registration is open to registered GIRL SCOUTS OF THE USA age 6 and older. Scouts over age 17 must register as an adult. There must be a scout in each room.

This is a scout event and scouts come first. This event is all about scouting and is not intended to be a family vacation, therefore each scout is allowed one adult chaperone. Registrations with more adults than Girl Scouts age 6-17 will be denied.

Please follow your Girl Scout Council policies during your visit. We applaud fathers who volunteer as Girl Scout leaders, however in accordance with Girl Scout policy, no male will be allowed to share a room with a scout to whom he is not related. Due to space constraints and liability purposes, all attending adults must be registered chaperones with the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Do not bring anyone with you who isn't registered for the event. If you have someone staying in your hotel room or at any scheduled Troop Mackinaw event that is not registered, your troop will be asked to leave the event for the remainder of the weekend, without refund.

Your Room

There must be one adult over age 17 in every room. For everyone's comfort and safety, you may have no more than four people to a room. We are not able to make exceptions, so please make your room plans accordingly.

Hotels are confirmed upon the close of registration when we know exactly how many rooms are required. Kelly & I choose the properties that best suit the event needs. Quality is important to us. We wouldn't choose a hotel that we wouldn't stay at.

Upon the closing of registration, when we have a final count, the itinerary is finalized and hotel rooms assigned. This information will be sent to the email address on your registration no less than 14 days prior to the event.

Allergies & Meals

We always try our best to be as accommodating as possible, however we must require you to be responsible for the monitoring of food allergies & to make alternate meal arrangements, if necessary.

Dress code

Please highlight this opportunity to teach your scouts about the importance of dressing for the occasion, following rules & respecting traditions. The event dress code for Saturday is considered “Resort Casual”. This includes polo style shirts, sundresses, linen pants, skorts, skirts, leggings, button-up tops, nice shorts, and dresses. Nothing fancy, but not just t-shirts and jeans either. Absolutely no cutoffs and tank tops. Shoes can be nice tennis shoes or sandals, but not flip flops. The GSUSA uniform of khakis & white shirt is perfect for the occasion. All scouts must wear a Girl Scout sash or vest to all scheduled events.
